Replacing the Sensaphone 2000
As most installers are aware Sensaphone has discontinued production of their FGD2000 alarm unit. There are several options for replacing or updating existing Sensaphone 2000 models.
If the application requires software programming and data logging but having a web based system on the network is NOT a requirement than the Sensaphone 3000 unit is highly recommended.

The IMS-1000 unit is the closest system to be a direct replacement in terms of replacing the functions of a Sensaphone 2000. It does everything the FGD-2000 did, however it uses RJ45 ports for sensor connections. There are dry contact and 4-20mA adapters to allow users to use existing two wire connections and convert them to RJ-45 for the IMS-1000
